Autumn Days Stampin UP retired stampset

Fall is in the air
Here is my creation using the retired Stampin' Up! stamp set  Autumn Days

Here is a list of the supplies and Cardstock measurements that I had used

Early Espresso cardstock for the Card base 8 1/2 x 5 1/2  scored at 4 1/4
2 strips of  DSP  1/2 x 5 1/2
Crumb Cake  cardstock 3 1/4  x 5 1/2
Tranquil Tide  cardstock 4 1/4 x 3
Very Vanilla  cardstock 4 x 2 3/4
Burlap ribbon was cut at  5 1/2

Process
I do not own the Stampin' Up! markers YET but I was able to use my blender pen and ink pads to colour the pheasant stamp using the colours Tranquil Tide, Cajun Craze and Soft Suede. Once I was happy with it I gently spritzed it with a bit of water before stamping onto a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock. Once dried I stamped the wheat and grass with the So Saffron ink. The sentiment was stamped using the Memento ink. The leaves were leftover from a previous project. Yea for leftovers!

I then started to put layers together starting with attaching the dsp paper to the back of the Crumb Cake cardstock then attaching it to the Early Espresso card base. Next, the burlap ribbon was attached using Fast Fuse adhesive. I then glued the very vanilla to the tranquil tide cardstock. To the back of the Tranquil Tide cardstock, I used  Stampin' dimensionals skipping the middle to pop it over the burlap ribbon. I also popped one of the leaves to add a bit more dimension.

Well, that was fun!
Have a great week everyone!

Basket of Wishes

Another beautiful stamp set from Stampin' Up! called Basket of Wishes. Because it has the letter "W" as part of the title I thought I would enter once again into the Joy of sets challenge blog.

Here in Canada our Thanksgiving will be coming up on Monday, Oct 9th. Every year my sister hosts our Thanksgiving meal, and every year I make her a thank you card which she proudly displays on her beautiful antique hutch, how great is that!

here is this year's card

Lately, I am getting into using either my blender pen or my aqua painters! Here I used my blender pen along with an assortment of inkpads. It has been a few days since I made this card and I have misplaced the paper which I wrote down all my colours to share with you. I can tell you that I used Basic Black cardstock for the card base and the mat which the basket is stamped on is a piece of shimmery white cardstock love this paper! it works so well for using my aqua painters on. I used the square from the stitched shaped framelits to cut out the image. I then embossed a piece of old olive cardstock using the Hexagon textured impressions folder. As you can see I used the burlap ribbon and our new faceted gems in gold. The sentiment comes from one of our newer sets called Painted Harvest love this new stamp set!

Hope you enjoyed your time here.

HAPPY  THANKSGIVING! to all my Canadian friends out there. Stay safe everyone!

Painted Harvest in Water Colour

Hello,
I am here to share with you my attempt at water colouring. I used the Stampin' Up! stamp set called Painted Harvest which is a beautiful set.
The inks that I used were Crushed Curry, Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green and Early Espresso

Here is my masterpiece :)

I started off with a piece of watercolour paper and then I spritzed it with water. With my aqua painter, I picked up some Crushed Curry ink and spread it around on the wet paper while squeezing out a bit more water from my aqua painter. Once I was happy with it I added the Cherry Cobler ink in the same way. Once dried, I lightly flicked on some water drops to create those water splotches. I then used my scissors to distress the edges of the paper a bit. Love that look.

I stamped the flower onto another smaller piece of watercolour paper using those same two colours. Once dried I used the aqua painter to move the colours around a bit. I used a wee bit too much water oh well I still like it. I then hand cut the flower.

I played with the Garden Green ink on some wet watercolour paper once dried I then stamped the leaf images with the same ink. I used the leaf punch to punch out the leafs.

The sentiment came from the stamp set called Colorful Seasons.

I then matted the front onto a 4 3/4 x 4 piece of Cherry Cobbler card stock and then matted that onto the Crushed Curry card base.

Before popping the flower on, I added some gold metallic thread using a bit of tape, then added some pop dots to the flower to make it more dimensional. The leaves were glued into place as well as the sequins.

Well, that was a fun card to make. Hope you will give it a try.

Scroll down and you will find a product list that I used. Each item will be linked to my online store to make your shopping easier. Any questions just send me an email and I would be happy to help you out :)

Have a great weekend!

Thoughts and Prayers With Sypmathy

This stamp set has been around for a long time. I had to pull it out once again and came out with this lovely card. I did use a couple of retired products. The sentiment on the front came from the Loving Thoughts stamp set. I should tell you, now don't cringe lol  I cut the sentiment stamp so it would stamp as two layers instead of one across the page. The elegant butterfly punch is also retired :( love that punch.  It would be easy enough to substitute when recreating this card.

I have decided to enter  my card into the Joy of Sets Challenge
This challenge is to use a Stampin' Up! stamp set that has the letter "T"

And here is the list of products that I used

Have a great week everyone!
